About
Bar Part Time occupies a former dive bar long embedded in the social fabric of San Francisco’s Mission District. When three friends revived the space as a vinyl-driven wine bar and dance hall, the project focused on stewardship rather than reinvention.
The renovation preserved elements that carried the memory of the old bar while introducing warmth, craft, and flexibility.
Working closely with local collaborators, the project assembled a layered environment that reflects the personalities behind the bar. The result feels less like a newly designed venue and more like a familiar place rediscovered.
